PERSEPOLIS

Persepolis that is the name of an animated film we watched 2 months ago. I had been seeing the poster of the film while we were strolling the corridors of the university. Those times were the busiest period of the my phd thesis, in fact there is no change, I’m still living that period. The poster of the film was attracted my attention especially its charcoal drawing. I looked at that and i found its concept so interesting so i thought it was an old film, but it isn’t. Its release date is 2007. But we couldn’t go to watch it but one day Onur came with a film in his hand. It was a surprise for me because the film was Persopolis. And i had a chance to watch it. It was so nice and sweet.
Honestly i liked the young Marjane, its lifestyle and thoughts. Her relationship with her uncle and the bread swan which he gave her were nice scenes. She likes the heavy metal music and after i listened a little bit of “Iron maiden” in some scenes, I took an interest of that music. Besides the concept of the film, i am keen on its animation technic. Film was created as a classical animation film. There are so much efforts to finalize those kinds of films. The sketches and drawings are so smooth and so affective. I liked its style. After that film I intended to increase my drawing and visualization skills. Also french speaking in film make it so attractive for me. Good film, thanks for that.
